What's been cooking - 2 May 2010

I'm really into the swing of menu planning now and can't believe I didn't start it earlier in life. This week I made a menu plan based entirely on our home supplies, so didn't need to do a big grocery shop.

Sunday: Paul and I together made stir-fry beef with loads of veges and cashews, served on Basmati rice.

Monday: I made a feijoa crumble and sweet cabbage salad to take to our Monday night bible study where we also ate lasagne, tomato pasta bake, chips and quiche.

Tuesday: Toia cooked lemon chicken on vermicelli with cauliflower and carrot.

Wednesday: Paul cooked eye fillet steak on mashed potatoes which we ate with sweet cabbage salad, carrots and sundried tomatoes.

Thursday: Fragrant chicken and pepper pan-fry, a recipe from The Best of Annabel Langbein.

Friday: Tuna pasta bake (packed full of veges too)

Saturday: Leftover tuna pasta bake

I'd love to hear what's been cooking in other households. Use the comments box below to fill in your weekly menu.

  1. Yum, your dinners look delicious.

Kris planned our menu for the week as he is the one who went grocery shopping on Saturday.

Last night we had roast pork, potatoes, pumpkins, carrots and beans with gravy and apple sauce.
Tonight we are having Thai Green chicken curry with basmati rice. Plus some nuggets for the small children who aren't into curry.

Then for the rest of the week -
    # Paprika chicken
    # Homemade Pizza
    # Roast chicken
    # Beef stew
