Friday night pizza

When we had the use of a friend's breadmaker for a few months, we created a Friday night pizza tradition that involved my husband making pizza dough in the breadmaker and rolling it out to form two bases - one for his meatlover creations, and one for my more garden-friendly varieties.

We would often invite friends around to share in the fun.

The cost of pizza dough is minimal when you make it from scratch, and by scrounging up veges and herbs from the garden we were able to feed a crowd on a shoestring.

We borrowed another friend's pizza stone and found it made for a more crispy base than our tin oven trays, so we invested in one of our own.

Enjoy this selection of snapshots from our pizza nights.
