Up and at 'em

Hey guys, sorry for the long absence.

I've had a pretty exhausting month (combination of S waking several times every night, me being laid up with a two-week gastric bug and lots of commitments outside the home) which meant I haven't had the energy to open my computer.

Most of my email correspondence has been done via my iPhone. Love that thing.

There are lots of exciting changes going on around here, which I will be able to tell you about next month. So if I don't manage to post again between now and November, remember to check back in November for the goss.

In other news, my exercise regime ground to a halt with my gastric bug. Fortunately my gastric bug meant I didn't gain any weight back so that was nice.

I NEED to get back into the habit of jogging in the morning though, as I've slipped right back into my old bad habit of snacking on sweet things to get me through the day. When I was running regularly, I didn't crave sugar in the same way.

Does anyone have an inspiring thought I can tell myself tomorrow morning to help me leap out of bed and go for a run? I've been so whacked in the morning, especially with daylight savings shaving an hour off before I even open my eyes.

I will leave you with this cute photo of my girls exploring the rocks at our local beach.

They make all the sleepless nights and exhausting days worth it.

  2. I happened to read this yesterday: http://www.dailyspark.com/blog.asp?post=how_to_make_yourself_work_out_when_its_dark_out

Some of the tips there might be helpful if you are planning on running first thing!

Keep at it though! You'll feel better getting that run out of the way and it's already paying off -- you looked amazing when I saw you last week!

  3. no advice, except that I hate getting up early too, and the only thing that gets me up to milk the cow at 530am is my husband nagging me. Maybe you could ask yours to do the same!
